All though we recommend fully keyed shafting to reduce down time, we understand there are times when the customer needs spot keyed shafting. We offer up to 3 inches outer dimensions by 6 foot in length in moon style spot keys using vertical mill in 303, 304, 1018, 1045 TGP, and 4140. Please contact us with a quote and have an approved drawing for use.
On shafting larger than 3 inches outer dimensions and longer than 6 foot in length, we use the side mill to put in ramp keyways in the shafts 303, 304, 1018, TGP, and 4140. The key stock will fit snug in the shaft as in a moon style keyway. Again, we will need an approved drawing for use. |
